Section 449(3) in The Madurai City Municipal Corporation Act, 1971
(3)The Government, may by notification, direct that on and from a date to be specified in the notification the provisions of sub-sections (1) and (2) with respect to sanitary workers shall apply also to any other specified class of municipal servant whose functions concern the public health or safety.
