6. Punishment of misconduct of officers on Commission.
Extortion defined.Bribery, extortion, and generally all acts of abuse or misapplication of authority, or other misconduct, committed by any officer belonging to the establishment of the Inam Commission, or temporarily employed therein under the provisions of this enactment, shall be punishable as criminal offence with fine and ordinary imprisonment without labour for a period not exceeding five years, and the receipt of a present, directly or indirectly, by any such officer from any person against whom or in whose behalf he may be officially employed, shall be considered extortion.Other presentation not barred.And no penalty or punishment adjudicated under this clause shall preclude, any other civil prosecution to with the offender may be liable.
