Section 9(1) in The West Bengal Heritage Commission Act, 2001
(1)The State Government shall, in consultation with the Commission, appoint a Secretary of the Commission who shall hold office for such period as may be prescribed:Provided that the first appointment of the Secretary may be made by the State Government without consultation with the Commission.
