(1)The Chief Officer of a Municipality may, require the provision of a separate supply pipe for each of the premises supplied or to be supplied by the Municipality with water :Provided that in the case of any multi-storeyed building, the Chief Officer may require the provision of a separate supply pipe for each storey of such multi-storeyed building or each independently occupied unit therein.
