Section 6(1) in Karnataka Marriages (Registration and Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1976
(1)The Registrar may suo-motu or otherwise issue notice to the parties to a marriage which has not been registered under this Act, to appear before him and get the memorndum of marriage signed and delivered with the prescribed fee in such manner and within such time as may be specified in the notice.
