(5)The Commission shall advertise the number of vacant posts of Gram Panchayat Secretary through an open advertisement in the manner which it may deem fit and invite applications from the eligible candidates for appointment. The Commission shall hold open competitive examination in accordance with the Conduct of Examination Rules as prescribed for by the General Administration Department and recommend the names of successful candidates from amongst the merit list, prepared on the basis of the examination.
