Section 8(3)(i) in The Inland Vessels (Grant of Certificate of Competency to Engineers and Engine Drivers) (Orissa) Rules, 1989

(i)he must satisfactorily pass a viva voce examination on the working of the various types of internal combustion engines and be able to name the principal parts of the machinery;
