282. Power of the Municipality to require owners of premises to set up pumps.
(1)The owner of every premises connected with municipal water-works shall, when so required by the Chief Officer of a Municipality, set up electric pumps or other contrivances whereby water may be caused to reach the top of the topmost storey of such premises.(2)No such electric pump shall be fixed directly on the main of the supply line, but shall be fixed on the under ground storage tank to be provided for the purpose by the owner.(3)No booster pump shall be set up without a written permission of the Chief Officer.
