(2)A teacher of the University, other than a teacher in the rank of Professor or of Reader, shall be appointed by the Executive Council on the recommendation of a Selection Committee consisting of -(i)the Vice-Chancellor as Chairman;(ii)the Dean of the Faculty concerned;(iii)three persons, not holding any office of profit under the University and having special knowledge of the subject which the teacher will teach, of whom one shall be a nominee of the Chancellor and two shall be the nominees of the Executive Council.
