Section 9(1) in Biju Patnaik University of Technology Act, 2002
(1)The Vice-Chancellor shall be appointed by the Chancellor from among technical education experts from out of a panel of three names recommended by a Committee appointed by him, who are not members of the Committee:Provided that the first Vice-Chancellor shall be appointed by the Chancellor from a panel of three names recommended by the Government.
