633. Prohibition against employment of public servants in making purchases.
- The employment by public officers or public servants in making purchases, or in any private matter in which the receipt or expenditure of money is concerned, is most strictly prohibited. This prohibition is not intended to preclude officers from employing public servants to procure for them conveyance or necessary supplies while they are travelling upon duty, though in all such transactions constant vigilance is needed to prevent cheating and extortion.
