Section 35 in Model Rules, 2011 under Bengal Ferries Act, 1885
35. Boats to be kept ready for relief work.
- All boats registered and licensed under these rules shall as far as practicable be kept ready for use in floods and cyclonic relief works. The District Magistrate or his authorized officer may requisition such boats if he feels necessary for public purposes on payment of charges to be negotiated/finalised by the District Magistrate.
