Section 34(3) in The Maharashtra Land Revenue Record of Rights and Registers (Preparation and Maintenance) Rules, 1971
(3)Any revenue officer not below the rank of an Assistant or Deputy Collector shall be competent to assess under Section 81, the cost of the operation or revision of maps or plans and all contingent expenses including the cost of clerical labour and supervision, on the lands to which such maps or plans relate. Such cost shall be so assessed that it will cover the entire cost of measuring, assessing and mapping the land.
