- The Village Defence Party will normally be reconstituted every three years. Members may be renominated subject to at least one third new member being inducted every year. No renewal shall, however, be granted to a person after he crosses the age of sixty years or who incurs any other condition of ineligibility specified in Section 50. However, any vacancy may be filled up as and when it occurs.
