Section 23(3) in The Merchant Shipping (Cargo Ship Construction And Survey) Rules, 1974
(3)In every ship in which oil or gaseous fuel is used the arrangements for the storage, distribution and utilisation of the fuel shall be such that, having regard to the hazards of fire and explosion which the use of such fuel may entail, the safety of the ship and of persons on board is preserved.
