Section 11 in The Punjab Prevention of Human Smuggling Act, 2012
11. Power of investigation.
- A police officer, not below the rank of a Deputy Superintendent of Police, shall conduct investigation, which shall be completed by him within a period of two months from the date of information given to him by any person. The police officer of the rank of Superintendent of Police shall verify the investigation conducted by the investigating officer. An officer, not below the rank of Senior Superintendent of Police shall act as Nodal Officer for all the investigations to be made under this Act.
