Section 20 in The Tamil Nadu Acquisition of Land for Industrial Purposes Act, 1997
20. Protection of action taken in good faith.
(1)No suit, prosecution or other legal proceeding shall lie against any person for anything which is in good faith done or intended to be done in pursuance of this Act or of any rule or order made thereunder.(2)No suit or other legal proceeding shall lie against the Government or the Collector or any person authorised under this Act or any authority or officer sub-ordinate to the Government or the Collector for any damage caused or likely to be caused by anything which is in good faith done or intended to be done in pursuance of this Act or of any rule or order made thereunder.
