Information Sought:
The appellant has sought the details of production capacity per month and details of power bill (photocopies from April 2016 to March 2017), regarding the following silk twisting units:1
1. Kyalanur Silk Reelers Co-operation Society Ltd.
2. SDK Silk Enterprises
3. Shree Siddeswari Stores
4. Shri Shirdi Sai Silk Twisting
5. Sri Vishnu Priya Silk Twisting
6. Zam Zam Silk Twisting Industry Grounds for Second Appeal The CPIO did not provide the desired information.
Submissions made by Appellant and Respondent during Hearing:
The appellant submitted that the CPIO has provided incomplete and misleading information to him and also no information has been provided with respect to M/s Zam Zam Silk.
The CPIO submitted that whatever information was available with them has been provided to the appellant. He further submitted that there was some typographical error in the CPIO's reply dated 12.05.2017 wherein at Serial no 5, instead of M/s Zam Zam Silk, Sri Vishnu Priya Silk Twisting has been written. He also submitted that they have no information with regard to details of power bills regarding the above mentioned silk mills as they all are independent units and the Cooperation does not exercise any control over them, hence no such records are available. The information would be available with the respective mills who pay the power bills.
Observations:
From a perusal of the relevant case records and considering the averments put forth by both the parties, it is noted that although a reply has been given to the appellant on 12.05.2017, the same is not proper with regard to the names of the companies as mentioned in the reply. The CPIO also admitted that there is some typographical error in the reply.
It is also noted that with regard to details of power bills regarding the above mentioned silk mills, since these are independent mills, no such information is available with the respondent authority and hence no relief can be provided on this point.2

Based on the above observations, the CPIO is directed to provide a revised reply along with adequate clarifications with reference to the reply dated 12.05.2017 to the appellant within 10 days from the date of receipt of this order under intimation to the Commission.
The appeal is accordingly disposed of.
