Section 25(2) in The U.P. Cane Development Department Ministerial Service Rules, 1978
(2)The pay during the period of probation of persons appointed to the service, who held a lien on any post under the State Government shall be regulated by the relevant rules referred to Rule 27.Provided that, if the period of probation is extended on account of failure to give satisfaction, such extension shall not count for increment unless the appointing authority directs otherwise.
