15. Removal of encroachment of land and premises belonging to a religious institution and endowment.
(1)The provisions contained in the Himachal Pradesh Public Premises and Land (Eviction and Rent Recovery) Act, 1971 (22 of 1971) shall be applicable, as far as may be, in respect of unauthorised occupation of any land or premises belonging to any Hindu Public Religious Institution and Charitable Endowment s if it were the property of Government within the meaning of that Act.(2)The Commissioner may make any application for taking up appropriate proceedings under the said Act to the authority competent thereunder and thereupon it shall be lawful for such authority to take action in accordance with the provisions in that Act.
