Section 56E(4) in Tamil Nadu District Municipalities Act, 1920
(4)Any person who contravenes any of the provisions of sub-section (1) or sub-section (2) shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to six months, or with fine which may extend to two thousand rupees, or with both.
