Section 72(1)(a) in Patna University Act, 1976

(a)all such teaching staff and other servants appointed by the State Government and later on employed by the Patna University in the Prince of Wales Medical College and its departments as were not above the age of 58 years on the date of commencement of the Patna University (Amendment) Ordinance, 1971 (Bihar Ordinance no. 62 of 1971) shall cease to be the employee of the Patna University from the said date and shall become the employee of the State Government;
