(5)Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-section (4), the Government may, by notification in the Gazette, apply the provisions of this Act to any area in the State w1thm the jurisdiction of a Panchayat With effect from such date as may be specified in the notification, and may cancel or modify any such notification.
