Section 62(a) in Police Regulations, Bengal , 1943
(a)Every Superintendent, Assistant or Deputy Superintendent shall keep a tour diary in which he shall show, (i) when absent from headquarters on inspection or other duty, the manner in which his time has been employed and the matters of interest to the police that have come to his notice, and (ii) when at headquarters, all night rounds (with the time) supervisions of investigations and inspections of offices there.
