PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records relating to the impugned order dated 11.05.2018 passed by the 3rd respondent herein and quash the same as being illegal, arbitrary, unconstitutional and consequently direct the respondents to permit the petitioner to conduct public meeting on 18.05.2018 at YMCA Grounds, Kottivakkam, OMR, Chennai-600 041.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to call for the records relating to the impugned order dated 11.05.2018 passed by the 3rd respondent herein and quash the same and consequently direct the respondents to permit the petitioner to conduct public meeting on 18.05.2018 at YMCA Grounds, Kottivakkam, OMR, Chennai-600 041

2. Mr.AR.L.Sundaresan, learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Taramani has granted permission for conducting the public meeting on 18.05.2018 and hence, he seeks permission to withdraw this writ petition and the learned counsel for the petitioner has also made an endorsement to that effect.

3. In view of the above submission and endorsement made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Writ Petition is dismissed as not pressed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
