Section 209(1) in The Tamil Nadu Building and other Construction Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2006
(1)In every establishment wherein 500 or more building workers are ordinarily employed, the employer shall appoint safety officer as per the scale laid down in Schedule VIII to these rules. Such safety officers may be assisted by suitable and adequate staff.
