1. Allowed, subject to all just exceptions.
2. Application stands disposed of.
CRL.M.C. 3994/20263. By way of the present petition, the petitioners seek quashing of the FIR bearing No. 229/2016, registered at Police Station Delhi Cantt, Delhi, for the commission of offences punishable under Sections 363/366A/376 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (hereafter 'IPC') and Section 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 (hereafter 'POCSO Act') .
4. Issue notice. The learned APP accepts notice on behalf of the State.
5. All the petitioners and respondent nos. 2 and 3 are present before this Court and have been identified by their counsel and Investigating Officer (IO) concerned, Police Station Delhi Cantt., Delhi.
6. Brief facts of the case are that on the basis of complaint of respondent This is a digitally signed order.

The Order is downloaded from the DHC Server on 21/05/2026 at 21:08:19 no. 2, the present FIR was registered against the petitioners on 29.06.2016 under the relevant Sections. It is further stated that petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 3 have married each other on 23.04.2017, and the parties are presently living together. It is further stated that three children have also been born out of their wedlock. It is stated that with intervention of the family and friends, the parties have now amicably settled their dispute vide Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) dated 07.05.2026

On a query made by this Court, respondent nos. 2 and 3, who have been identified by the IO, have categorically stated that they have entered into compromise out of their own free will and without any pressure, coercion or threat. It is also stated that they have been living together since 23.04.2017. Therefore, they have no objection if the present FIR is quashed.
8. In view of the above, that the parties have amicably resolved their differences out of their own free will, and without any coercion, no useful purpose will be served by continuing the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them. It would thus be in interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. There is no legal impediment in quashing the FIR in question.
9. Accordingly, FIR bearing No. . 229/2016, registered at Police Station Delhi Cantt, Delhi, for the commission of offences punishable under Sections 363/366A/376 of IPC and Section 6 of POCSO Act and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
10. Accordingly, the petition stands disposed of.
