(2)Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act, the State Government shall have power to give to the University, from time to time, such directions as it may consider necessary in regard to categories of posts in which reservation of posts shall be made in favour of the members of the Scheduled Castes [Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes] [These words were substituted for the words 'and Scheduled Tribes' by Maharashtra 7 of 1993, section 7(b).] percentage of the posts to be reserved for them and any other matters connected with such reservation, and the University shall comply with such directions.]
