(1)The competent authority making an order under sub-section (1) of Section 50 may direct the parent or other person liable to maintain the child to pay to the competent authority in advance in the beginning of each month such sum of money not exceeding Rs. 50 in the aggregate per mensem, as the competent authority may think fit towards the maintenance of such child.
