Section 16(1) in The Orissa Self-Help Co-operatives Act, 2001
(1)Any person who needs the services of a Co-operative, expresses willingness to accept the responsibilities of membership, meets such other conditions as may be specified in the articles of association of the Co-operative, is in a position to use the services, and is competent to contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872, may be admitted as a member, subject to the condition that the Co-operative is in a position to extend it's services to such person.
