KUMARI RAMYA HARIDAS (ALATHUR): Aadharniya Adhyaksha Ji, I would like to point out here an issue related to the receipt of foreign aid from the United Arab Emirates- based Red Crescent for construction of houses under the Life Mission Housing Project in Kerala. In reply to the Unstarred Question of hon. Member, Shri K. Muraleedharan, the Ministry of Home Affairs has stated that such a proposal from the Kerala State Government was not received by the Ministry. It is a shocking news. Two real estate companies from India have undertaken a housing project estimated at Rs.19 crore under the Life Mission Housing Project in my constituency by offering about … * This is a hot discussion in the Malayalam media. I think the Government of India should conduct an inquiry into this matter.
If the Government of India or the Ministry of Home Affairs has not conducted an inquiry or registered any case relating to this serious issue even yet, then the Government should announce a detailed CBI inquiry to unveil the culprits behind the exploitation of the homeless and helpless flood-affected SC/ST and poor families.
I request you to include violation of code of conduct of the State also in this CBI inquiry. Thank you.
