Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State of U.P. Present petition has been filed with the following prayers:-

"Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondent no.2 to consider the claim of the petitioner regarding the matter of the petitioners for promotion on the post of Constable to Head Constable in the police department in accordance with law.
Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the respondent no.2 to decide the representation of the petitioners dated 06.03.2020."

At the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the present petition is squarely covered by the order of this Court dated 01.11.2018 passed in Writ-A No.23509 of 2018 (Dinesh Kumar and 7 others Vs. State of U.P. and 5 others), which is quoted as under:-

"Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Standing Counsel.
The sole prayer addressed on this petition is for consideration of the petitioners' claim of promotion on the post of Head Constable in terms of the provisions of the 2015 Rules.
Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the second respondent states that the claim of the petitioners shall be duly evaluated and considered by the said respondent in accordance with law and disposed of within a period of four months from the date of presentation of a certified copy of this order.
Accordingly and in light of the statement so made which is recorded and accepted, this petition is disposed of."

Learned Standing Counsel has no objection, in case the same order is passed in the present case.

Accordingly, the present petition stands disposed of in terms of the aforesaid order.
