Section 240(1) in The Maharashtra Municipal Councils, Nagar Panchayats And Industrial Townships Act, 1965
(1)in the event of a municipal area being threatened or visited at any time by the outbreak of any dangerous disease, the Council shall take measures for the prevention, treatment and control of the disease, including isolation of persons suffering from such disease and for investigating the causes of the prevalence of the outbreak of the disease.
