Section 17(4) in Kolkata Municipal Corporation Act, 1980
(4)Every year the Municipal Commissioner shall place before the Mayor-in-Council for its consideration the schedule of posts along with the proposals, if any, for such changes therein as he may consider necessary :[Provided that no upward revision of the size of the establishment of the Corporation shall be made without the prior sanction of the State Government.] [Proviso added by section 4 of the Calcutta Municipal Corporation (Amendment) Act, 1996 (West Bengal Act No. 6 of 1996), w.e.f. 4.12.1995.]
