Section 1 in The Rajasthan Shops and Commercial Establishments Act, 1958
1. Short title, extent, commencement and application.
(1)This Act may be called the Rajasthan Shops and Commercial Establishments Act, 1958.(2)It extends to the whole of the State of Rajasthan.(3)It shall come into force on such [date] [Came into force with effect from 1-6-1959.] as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint in this behalf.(4)It shall apply in the first instance to such areas as the State Government may specify by notification in the Official Gazette.(5)The State Government may, after giving three months notice of its intention of so doing, by notification in the Official Gazette, extend the provisions of the Act or any of them to such other areas as may be specified.
