ORDER
1. The Appellant filed an RTI application dated 25.05.2023 seeking information on the following points:
मेरा Union Bank of India, Nashik Road Branch, Nashik म खाता मां क XXXXXXXXXX3153 (IFSC Code: UBIN0559687) है । मेरे खाते पर PMJJBY & PMSBY Schemes activated थी जो की CPIO, Union Bank of India के प> माक OCPIO/Nasik/38588/23-24 dated 27/04/2023 (Copy attached as PDF) के अनुसार Deactivate की गई थी और CPIO ने यह जवाब RTI Reply म िदया है की 'The said plans/schemes have been deactivated from your account' | ले िकन आज Page 1 of 5 तारीख 25 May 2023 को मेरे खाते पर से RS.436/- for PMJJBY & Rs.20/- for PMSBY Schemes के िलए debit िकये गए है (Screenshot of message attached as pdf) | इसिलए िन^िल_खत पॉइं ट्स पर RTI Act 2005 के तहत जवाब िदया जाय
(i) PMJJBY & PMSBY schemes जो की मेरे खाते XXXXXXXXXX3153 (IFSC Code UBIN0559687) पर से Union Bank of India के प> मां क OCPIO/Nasik/38588/23-24 dated 27/04/2023 के अनुसार Deactivated िकये है । ले िकन आज तारीख 25 May 2023 को मेरे खाते XXXXXXXXXX3153 (IFSC Code: UBIN0559687) पर से Rs.436/- & Rs. 20/- िजस authority/Policy/Circular/Reports के तहत PMJJBY & PMSBY schemes के िलए Debit िकए है उस Authority/Policy/Circular के बारे म जानकारी दी जाय ।
(ii) मेरे िपछले RTI Number No UBIND/R/E/23/00446 dated 04/04/2023 म मgने उ_h_खत िकये मेरे personal application dated 22 Feb 2023 पर Complete Action कब तक ली जाएगी उस ितथी के बारे म जानकारी दीिजए ।
(iii) Union Bank of India के प> मां क OCPIO/Nasik/38588/23-24 dated 27/04/2023 के अनुसार a customer has to submit one application regarding deactivation to the concerned branch of our bank. इसके अनुसार मgने मेरा 22 Feb 2023 को एक आवेदन िदया था ले िकन उसपर Complete Implementation नहीं iआ । इसका Complete delay report िदया जाय
(iv) िन^िल_खत Points पर CPIO अपना Opinion and Reports jkुत करे (Note-
Opinion and reports of CPIO can be obtained as per section 2(f) of RTI Act 2005)

Union Bank of India के प> मां क OCPIO/Nasik/38588/23-24 dated 27/04/2023 म कहा गया है की The said plans/schemes have been Page 2 of 5 deactivated from your account'. ले िकन आज तारीख 25 May 2023 को मेरे खाते पर से इlी Deactivated Schemes (PMJJBY & PMSBY) के िलए Rs.436/- & Rs. 20/- Debit िकये गए है ।
2. मेरे िपछले RTI Number No UBIND/R/E/23/00446 dated 04/04/2023 म मgने उ_h_खत िकये मेरे personal application dated 22 Feb 2023 पर Complete Action नहींली गई है ।
3. PMJJBY & PMSBY Schemes deactivation का जवाब CPIO ने Union Bank of India के प> मां क OCPIO/Nasik/38588/23-24 dated 27/04/2023 म गलत िदया है ।...
(v) CPIO Union bank of India उस documents and Memos, papers, records को jkुत करे िजसके अ नुसार मेरे खाते पर PMJJBY & PMSBY Schemes Deactivation के बाद Automatically activate हो गई है । (Note- as per section 2(f) of RTI Act, documents and Memos, papers, records can be obtained under RTI)
2. The CPIO replied vide letter dated 07.07.2023 and the same is reproduced as under :-
"The PMJJBY & PMSBY schemes have been deactivated from your account (5968020****). The amount of Rs 436/- & Rs 20/- debited from your account on 25.05.2023 has been reversed by the branch on 07.07.2023."
3. Dissatisfied with the response received from the CPIO, the Appellant filed a First Appeal dated 28.06.2023 alleging that the information provided was incomplete, false and misleading. The FAA vide order dated 28.07.2023 upheld the reply given by the CPIO.

4. Aggrieved with the FAA's order, the Appellant approached the Commission with the instant Second Appeal dated Nil.
5. The appellant's representative Mr. Krishankant, and on behalf of the respondent Mr. Prabhat Kumar, CPIO, attended the hearing through video conference.
6. The appellant's representative inter alia submitted that the reply furnished by the CPIO was not in accordance with the information sought in the RTI application. He requested the Commission to direct the respondent to provide the information, as sought.

The respondent while defending their case inter alia submitted that a response to the RTI application had been furnished to the appellant vide their letter dated 07.07.2023, wherein, they had stated that the PMJJBY & PMSBY schemes have been deactivated from the appellant's account and the amount of Rs 436/- & Rs 20/- debited, had also been reversed by the branch on 07.07.2023. When enquired by the Commission regarding a point-wise reply to the RTI queries, the respondent stated that earlier, on same subject matter, the appellant filed the RTI application to which point-wise reply had been provided on 27.04.2023

The Commission after adverting to the facts and circumstances of the case, hearing both parties and perusal of records, observes that the CPIO has provided an appropriate reply to the RTI Application as per the provisions of the RTI Act vide letter dated 07.07.2023, the perusal of records further reveals that on the same subject matter, the appellant filed the RTI application to which a point-wise reply had been provided on 27.04.2023. That being so and the reply having been given, there appears to be no public interest in further prolonging the matter. Accordingly, the appeal is dismissed.
Copy of the decision be provided free of cost to the parties.
