Section 7(1) in Punjab Water Resources (Management and Regulation) Act, 2020
(1)The Government may, by order, remove from office, the Chairperson or any other Member, if the Chairperson or such other Member, as the case may be,-(i)has been adjudged an insolvent; or(ii)has been convicted of an offence which, in the opinion of the Government involves moral turpitude; or(iii)has become physically or mentally incapable of acting as Chairperson or Member; or(iv)has acquired such financial or other interest as is likely to affect pre-judicially his function as the Chairperson or Member; or(v)has so abused his position as to render his continuance in office prejudicial to the public interest:Provided that the Chairperson or Member shall not be removed from his office under clauses (iv) or (v) without an enquiry.
