8. Recovery and remittance of penalty.
- In case of dismissal or rejection of appeal or otherwise, the Designated Officer shall deposit the penal amount through treasury challan within seven days of the date of the order. In case of failure to do so, the penalty imposed under section 7 shall be recovered from the salary, honorarium or other remuneration of the Designated Officer and remitted to the appropriate head of Account.
