Section 12 in The Bombay General Clauses Act, 1904
12. Measurement of distances.
- In the measurement of any distance for the purpose of any Bombay Act [or Maharashtra Act] [See now the Indian Limitation Act, 1908 (9 of 1908), Central Act.] made after the commencement of this Act, that distance shall, unless a different intention appears, be measured in a straight line on a horizontal plane.
