Section 5(1A) in The Maharashtra Industrial Relations Act, 1946
(1A)The State Government may , by similar notification, appoint one or more Additional Registrars of Unions for the whole State or for any local area thereof. An Additional Registrar of Unions shall exercise such powers and perform such duties of the Registrar under the provisions of this Act, as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, specify in this behalf.
