Section 9 in Tamil Nadu District Municipalities (Hill Stations) Building Rules, 1993
9. Plinths.
- Every person, who constructs, reconstructs, adds to or alters a building shall comply with the following requirements: -The ground floor of the building shall be at such level as will allow the effectual drainage of that floor. Unless the Government, having regard to the circumstances of the case, directs otherwise, it shall be not less than 45 centimetres above the ground or site level.
