Section 624(2) in The Calcutta Municipal Corporation Act, 1980
(2)For the avoidance of doubts, it is hereby declared that any extension of any provision of this Act to the Municipality of Howrah or to any other municipality or to any Government Township or to any area or to any part thereof under section 623 shall not have the effect of placing such municipality or Government Township or area or part thereof under the authority of the Corporation.
