Section 6(1) in The Maharashtra Molasses (Control) Act,1956
(1)If the State Government is of the opinion that it is necessary or expe¬dient so to do for maintaining supplies of molasses for the purpose of develop¬ment of any industry by securing their equitable distribution and availability at fair prices, it may, by order, provide for regulating the supply and distribution of, or trade and commerce in, molasses.
