The Office-in-charge of a police station shall on receipt of the certificate send for the Grama Rakshi and explain to him clearly the powers and duties of a Grama Rakshi and his responsibilities, obligations and discipline. After the Grama Rakshi understands his duties and obligations clearly, the Officer-in-charge of a police-station shall sign and date the certificate appended below the appointment certificate and hand it over to the Grama Rakshi and obtain the signature of the Grama Rakshi in the bond of declaration after explaining the contents of the bond to him.
