Section 3(1) in Kerala Preservation of Trees Act, 1986
(1)The Government may, by notification in the Gazette, appoint such officers not below the rank of a Ranger as they think fit to be authorised officers for the purposes of this Act and may assign to them such local limits as the Government think fit.
