Section 8(1) in Bureau of Indian Standards (Recruitment to Laboratory Technical Posts) Regulations, 2019
(1)Where any posts specified in column (2) of the First Schedule is required to be filled up by promotion, such promotion shall be made on the recommendation of the Selection Committee constituted by the Director General, by selection, from amongst the employees in the lower grade, on the basis of merit or with due regard to seniority.
