Section 16 in Gujarat Private Universities Act, 2009
16. Registrar.
(1)The appointment of the Registrar shall be made by the Chairperson of the sponsoring body in such manner as may be prescribed by the Statutes.(2)All contracts shall be signed and all documents and records shall be authenticated by the Registrar on behalf of the University.(3)The Registrar shall be the Member-Secretary of the Governing Body, the Board of Management and Academic Council but he shall not have a right to vote.(4)The Registrar shall exercise such powers and perform such duties as may be specified in the Statutes or the Ordinances.
