Section 258(1) in Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in Lok Sabha
(1)The Chairperson of a Committee shall be appointed by the Speaker from amongst members of the Committee:Provided that the Deputy Speaker, in case is a member of the Committee, shall be appointed as Chairperson of the Committee.
