Section 5(1) in The Land Ports Authority of India (Lost Property) Regulations, 2015
(1)Any lost property delivered to the lost property office shall be retained in safe custody by the Incharge of the lost property office until claimed by the owner thereof or disposed of in accordance with regulation 7.
