Section 1 in Tamil Nadu Gramdan Villages (Repayment of Debts) Act, 1959
1. Short title and extent.
(1)This Act may be called the [Tamil Nadu] [Substituted for the word 'Madras' by the Tamil Nadu Adaptation of Laws Order, 1969, as amended by the Tamil Nadu Adaptation of Laws (Second Amendment) Order, 1969.] Gram-dan Villages (Repayment of Debts) Act, 1959.(2)(a)It extends to the villages and the hamlets specified in the Schedule.(b)The State Government may, by notification, include any other village or hamlet in the Schedule.
